"Artists often allow their art to stray off the canvas onto Tee-Shirts and other merchandise. Major galleries like the Tate and RA encourage this. Sir Terry Frost produced several examples of art Tee-Shirts. Sandra Blow's work has been printed onto scarfs and lots of well known contemporary artists including Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin have produced examples of this wearable art. With the advent of new web technologies and the astounding quality of one off production techniques it is now possible for artists to properly embrace this medium as part of their creative journey. John Dyer and Joanne Short are internationally renowned for their unique paintings and wide range of published art and have taken delight in exploring this new creative medium that is now available."

The range of tee-shirts, tops, hats and Keds shoes are all inspired by the acclaimed paintings of two of the UK's leading contemporary artists; Joanne Short and John Dyer. The designs have been very well received by collectors and even the famous Johnnie Boden of Boden Clothes gave the designs a virtual thumbs up.

John Dyer and Joanne Short have a wide creative output through which they have addressed the artists' relationship with commerce and design to bring their amazing paintings and vision of the world to a wider audience. Using the very latest Art on Demand publishers Zazzle the artists are able to bring a wide range of items to market in exclusively small quantities while eliminating the environmental impact of large traditional production runs.

The new beachytreats brand is part of the highly successful John Dyer Gallery and Galerie Monaco online gallery. http://www.johndyergallery.co.uk

"To be able to apply the essence of our art to quality clothing in very small quantities and with a huge amount of customisation is very exciting. As a design process it is a wonderful experience and our own children have taken great delight in selecting which images they want and applying them to the exact clothes they want to wear. Our paintings source our surroundings and family as inspiration and it is a delight to be able to apply some of our favorite visual elements to our own children, they are now our walking canvases !"

"We are absolutely delighted with our new art on demand range with Zazzle which includes a wide range of art prints and cards as well as the new beachytreats clothing line. The quality and service is second to none and the creative possibilities are fantastic for our artists. Our collectors who have seen calendars, note books, posters, cards etc over the years love the new art products and the wider choice of options we can now offer, and we can now ship worldwide in many currencies. America is proving to be a big new territory for us and it is great to think we are promoting Cornwall and the places we love at the same time."

About John Dyer http://www.johndyer.info
John Dyer is one of Britain's leading and best known contemporary painters. Born in 1968 his work embraces colour and the 'Song of Life'. Resident artist for Darwin 200 and Painter in Residence for the Eden Project John is recognised internationally as one of the UK's leading artists.

"There is an innocence and freshness to John Dyer's art that follows a tradition in Cornwall that includes the work of Alfred Wallis, Christopher Wood, Fred Yates and Bryan Pearce. Rather than trying to record what he sees, John sets out to capture the 'essence' of his subject. The 'essence' of seagulls, cats, dogs, bobbing boats, or exploding fireworks communicate far more strongly through John's brushstrokes than they would if drawn more traditionally. It is this ability to capture the 'essence' of what is important that seems to appeal to those who have shown great vision and originality in their own careers, such as Tim Smit, Alan Titchmarsh or Kim Wilde."
Brian Stewart, Director Falmouth Art Gallery, UK.

About Joanne Short http://www.joanneshort.info
Joanne Short's approach to painting is refined and uncluttered. She is concerned with the colour and pattern quality within her overall compositions. A patchwork of mark making including stripes, lines and dots combine in harmonious colour groups within her bold pictures of still lives and landscapes. Joanne is a member of the acclaimed Newlyn Society of Artists in Cornwall and has exhibited in Cork Street London, Italy and leading galleries in the South West. She has been published worldwide by the Art Group and is one of Cornwall's best known artists often working outside surrounded by the landscape.

"They have that rare quality of being able to transport me to those magical Cornish places of holiday dreams, magical light and brilliant flowers. They are optimistic without being misty-optic"
Alan Titchmarsh MBE
